Glasgow Requiem planting wins award for Outstanding Event

We are thrilled that our autumn planting at the Glasgow Necropolis won the Glasgow Doors Open Days Festival award for Outstanding Event.

In September we planted 56,000 bulbs as a living memorial at Glasgow’s largest common grave accompanied by live music, poetry, and shared food. The award is extra special to us, as it was voted for by the public and volunteers of Glasgow Doors Open.

Glasgow Doors Open Days Director David Cook said:

“Congratulations to Angus Farquhar and the Aproxima team and all involved in creating this moving and meaningful event!  We are looking forward to seeing the flowers bloom in Spring and the project develop!”
